Dr. Sprenger received his medical degree in 1974 from Albany Medical College of Union University. He joined the United States Air Force as a senior medical student and completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA in 1977. Dr. Sprenger did his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Washington in 1985. He is board certified both in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Colonel Sprenger completed a 30-year career in the Air Force holding numerous clinical and senior leadership positions to include Commander of four medical facilities including the US Air Force Academy Hospital, Allergy Consultant to the Surgeon General, Director of Air Force Physician Graduate Education programs and Air Force Medical Corps Chief before taking his retirement in 2003. He then returned to his northwest roots, taking time off to remodel and expand his Seattle home and engage in worldwide travel, following which he joined Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center in 2005. Dr. Sprenger is an avid skier, snowboarder, mountain climber, and windsurfer who enjoys all aspects of the Pacific Northwest.
