Dr. Weiss received his medical degree in 1981 from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook School of Medicine. After completing his residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he did his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and received Board Certification in allergy and immunology in 1989. He moved to Seattle in 1989 and after practicing allergy and asthma medicine in Redmond for 11 years, he joined Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center in 2000. He is the primary physician in our Redmond, Washington office. He is very actively involved in numerous local and national allergy and immunology societies. He holds an academic position as Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is former Chief of Staff at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, Past President of the Puget Sound Allergy Society and of the Washington State Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Weiss is past chairman of the Adverse Reactions to Medication Committee and is a member of the Latex Allergy Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma,and Immunology. Dr. Weiss is a member of the advisory committee to the FDA on allergenic products. He serves as a member of the board of ASTHMA, Inc. Clinical Research Center. Dr. Weiss is a passionate golfer. Despite his high handicap, he continues to enjoy the walk interrupted by hitting small white objects. He lives in Bellevue with his wife, two daughters and a hypoallergenic dog.
